§ 2-362. Advisory committee.

  • To fulfill the roles and responsibilities required by Welfare and Institutions Code section 12301.6., there shall be an advisory committee.

    The advisory committee will be composed of ten (10) members at least fifty (50) percent of whom are current or past recipients of personal assistance services paid for through public or private funds and shall be appointed by the board of supervisors.

    (a)

    Membership on the advisory committee shall be as follows:

    5 Members who are current or previous users of personal assistance services paid for through public or private funds.

    2 Member who are current or former IHSS provider.

    2 Members with experience in program development, administration, and fiscal management who represent or advocate for home care service delivery organizations and their consumers.

    1 Ex officio member from the human services department of Sonoma County.

    (b)

    The advisory committee shall provide ongoing advice and recommendations regarding in-home supportive services to the county board of supervisors, any administrative body in the county that is related to the delivery and administration of in-home supportive services, and the directors and administrative agency of the authority.
