§ 2-111. Collection of presentence report fees and probation supervision fees.
(a)
The provisions of Section 1203.1b of the Penal Code of the state, mandate that a court make a determination regarding the ability of a convicted defendant to pay all or part of the reasonable cost of services provided by the probation department in performing presentence investigations and preparing presentence reports. The maximum reasonable cost of performing a presentence investigation and preparing a presentence report, which is determined by the board of supervisors not to exceed the actual average cost thereof, is fixed at two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each superior court presentence investigation investigation and report. The foregoing costs are subject to revision from time to time by resolution of the board of supervisors upon a finding that such increase is necessary due to an increase in the actual average cost of such services.
(b)
The provisions of Section 1203.1b of the Penal Code of the state, mandate that a court make a determination regarding the ability of a convicted defendant to pay all or part of the reasonable cost of services provided by the probation department in providing probation supervision. The maximum reasonable cost of providing probation supervision to a person placed under the supervision of the probation officer, which is determined by the board of supervisors not to exceed the average actual cost thereof, is fixed at the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) for each superior and municipal court probationer. The foregoing costs are subject to revision from time to time by resolution of the board of supervisors upon a finding that such an increase is necessary due to an increase in the actual average cost of such services.
